Part of a travel themed series produced in collaboration with All Nippon Airways, Horizon Dream Vol. 2 was conceived as both a listening experience and a lifestyle product; a musical postcard for Japan’s growing middle class discovering leisure travel in the early 1980s.

Masayoshi Takanaka, joined by Izumi Kobayashi and Minako Yoshida built an album around imagery of flight and tropical escape. Its composition ties into the optimism of Japan’s Pacific tourism boom, where instrumental fusion and soft AOR mirrored the aspirational modern life of the bubble era.

Original 1983 Kitty Records pressing with obi. An artifact of the intersection between music, advertising, and national identity, where even a record sleeve could double as a travel brochure.
